Cambridge Courses and Examinations
Cambridge ESOL
Cambridge ESOL offers the world's leading range of certificates for learners and teachers of English - taken by over 2 million people in 130 countries. They help people gain entrance to university or college, improve job prospects or measure progress in English. The examinations are characterized by:

Folkeuniversitetet in Oslo has been an approved test center since 1957 and holds the exclusive rights to arrange Cambridge ESOL examinations in Norway. Additional information about Cambridge ESOL examinations can be found at www.CambridgeESOL.org.
If you are unsure which of the Cambridge ESOL courses or examinations would suit you, you can take the Cambridge placement test.
• FCE - Cambridge first Certificate in English: First Certificate in English is the most popular English examination in the world. In this course you will develop your written and oral language skills, vocabulary and grammatical structures in preparation for the FCE Examination. There will be approximately 2 hours homework each week. Books: Ready for FCE and Cambridge FCE Examination Papers 7.
The FCE exam will be held on December 7, 2010.
• CAE - Cambridge Certificate in advanced English: The Certificate in Advanced English is a high-level qualification, which focuses on both oral and written skills. There will be approximately 2 hours homework each week. Books: Ready for CAE and Cambridge CAE Examination Papers 1.
The CAE exam will be held on December 8, 2010.
• CPE - Cambridge Certificate of Proficiecy in English: The Certificate of Proficiency provides documentation of an advanced level of English and is recognised for matriculation purposes by British universities. There will be approximately 2 hours homework each seeks. Books: New Progress to Proficiency and Cambridge CPE Examination Papers 5.
The CPE exam will be held on December 9, 2010.
• ILEC - International Legal English Certificate: This is a preparation course for the International English Certificate (ILEC) examination. There are 36 class-based lessons and 10 lessons of e-learning which is an online resource open to all students during the term. Students are required to work on e-learing projects with fellow students. The course is also suited to all legal professionals who wish to improve their professional English, regardless of whether or not they intend to take the examitation in May or November. The course book is entitled "International Legal English".
Provided there are enough candidates the ILEC Exam will be held November 13 2010.
Cambridge Admission Tests
BMAT - BioMedical Admission Test
The BioMedical Admission Test (MBAT) is a two hour test in three sections: Section 1: Aptitude and Skills 60 minutes (multiple choise)Section 2: Scientific Knowledge and Applications 30 minutes (multiple choice)Section 3: Writing Task 30 minutes (writing task)

TSA - Thinking Skills Assessment Test
The TSA (University of Oxford) is a two hour test consisting of two sections: Section 1: 90 minute task designed to measure both problem solving and critical thinking skills (multiple-choise)Section 2: 30 minute writing task
